Audio Events, Newsletter Features & Automate Event Planning

Tomer Cohen, Chief Product Officer, announced LinkedIn Audio Events, Newsletter Feature & Automate Event Planning. LinkedIn is incorporating many new features in the upcoming days.

Audio Events Feature

With most of the working environments adopting a hybrid or virtual setups, LinkedIn has observed an upsurge of professional events on the platform with a 231% year-over-year increase in annual attendees of virtual events and a 150% year-over-year increase in all kinds of professional events such as keynotes, conferences, discussion forums, and more.

To facilitate new interactive experiences and cater to the growing needs of the professional community, the platform is testing Audio Events. Users would be able to host and join live conversations and participate by raising hands.

Audio Event feature is in the beta phase, presently, only selected will be using this feature initially.

Newsletter Features

With these updates, the creators will now be able to display their newsletters directly on the profile using the Featured section to drive discoverability and subscribers. LinkedIn also mentions that it would continue to invest in newsletters and build editing and analytics tools.

Additionally, LinkedIn will also be launching newsletters for the Pages with over 500 followers. Brands, businesses, and publishers would be able to engage in thought leadership through educational content.

Automate Event Planning Feature

In association with Zapier, an IT Services company, LinkedIn has launched a few updates to automate the taxing job of planning, executing, marketing, and managing an event.

The new Event registration trigger in the LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms integration is used to automate Zapier workflows. Users would need a Zapier account and a LinkedIn Page to use the automation tools along with the customary apps such as calendars, and more.

This new feature helps to streamline workflows and decrease the burden on professionals. This feature adds automated features such as coordinating with attendees, conceptualizing themes and panels, catering to the speakers.

In addition, feature also includes consolidating attendees in the event hosting system, sending reminder emails, tracking attendees in a dashboard, and adding leads to a newsletter.

LinkedIn Events can also automate communication by sending registered attendees reminder notifications within the platform and providing additional details required.

Users can add subscribers in Mailchimp for every new event registration in LinkedIn, add Hopin registrants to Hive as contacts, or Create Active Campaign contacts with new event registrations.
