What is the Euromoney award?
Euromoney’s Awards for Excellence are the awards that matter to the banks and bankers who matter. They were established in 1992 and were the first of their kind in the global banking industry. This year Euromoney received a record number of submissions from banks in a regional and country awards program that covers more than 50 regional awards and best bank awards in 100 countries.
A global audience of leading banks gathered at The Londoner Hotel on July 13 in London to celebrate the world’s best banks. Hosted by Channel 4 News’ Matt Frei, the Euromoney Awards for Excellence represent the highest benchmark for banking excellence around the world.
Euromoney Award For Excellence – Nepal Best Bank 2022 is a prized award in the global banking industry. The award was handed over to Global IME Bank amidst a gala event organized in London on Wednesday evening. Global IME Bank Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal received the award in presence of the bank’s CEO Ratna Raj Bajracharya.
This year, Euromoney received a record number of submissions from banks in a regional and country awards program that covers more than 50 regional awards and best bank awards in 100 countries.
Global IME Bank is the largest commercial bank in Nepal in terms of capital, network, and earnings. It is the first private bank to provide banking services in all 77 districts of the country.
The bank also maintains its representative offices in India, the United Kingdom, and Australia, and extension offices in the Middle East and South Korea to assist in the remittance of funds from overseas Nepali workers.
The exemplary performance of the bank in the past fourteen years has elevated it to premier status in the industry. The bank has also been handling government transactions. It is officially among one of the few commercial banks trusted by the Government in handling Government revenue transactions of various offices as can be seen.
The bank has been able to earn the trust and confidence of the public, which is reflected in the large and ever-expanding customer base with more than 2,600,000 accounts in deposit base and above 50,000 in credit.
