Swift Chairman’s Cup, 3×3 Basketball Tournament 2079

Most awaited, Swift Chairman’s Cup, 3×3 Basketball Tournament 2079 was organized by Swift Technology, in collaboration with IME Group, this Friday and Saturday successfully at Grande Sports Center, Tokha.

Basketball is one of the most cherished sports across the world and to witness the frenzy for the sport worldwide is almost overwhelming.

According to tournament coordinator Nairatma Shakya, many other teams were also interested to participate in the game, but the best teams were only selected for the tournament.

Tournament Co-ordinator working very hard

In a team consisting of 1 substitute player, there were a total of 8 teams participating in the tournament.

The winning team had a prize pool of Rs 5,000 while the runner-up team received Rs 3,000 cash prize along with the winning trophies and medals. Similarly, the Most Valuable Player and Highest Scorer received individual awards respectively. We had our Chairman Mr. Hemraj Dhakal present the trophies to the respective winners, and encourage everyone to participate in at least one such sports event.

The game started with 8 teams (including both men and women), where Team AND1 outperformed all the other teams and Team Horrendous secured the runner-up place. On the 6th of August, Team AND1’s, Horrendous, NBA’s, and GGWP were the finalists. Many teams that participated in the tournament were created inter-department to help build a positive synergy among the different departments.

It has given momentum to the most-loved game. And has made contributions for employees to connect and be there as team players. These sports events will be taking place more frequently in near future. “We expect the upcoming tournaments to be huge,” says tournament coordinator Ms. Nairatma Shakya.

We also saw a large number of people excited to support the players – cheering for their favorite teams. To support the event, the CEO and VP of Swift Technology also showed their presence.
